Crop

I really liked how the first one turned out crop - you can see the fisher much better, and I tried to place him more on the thirds.

Cropping the second photo completely changed the perspective of it - I liked that you could see almost the whole tree on the "un-cropped" version, but I also like how the cropped version cleans up the photo a little bit.

Caitlin these are great photos! I really like how the way you choose to crop them really did make them look like different pictures. I agree that the different emphasis on the trees adds a cool element to both photos. Nice job!

Hi there,
I agree with the cropping, the way the eye follows the subject matter, and around the composition works way better in all the second shots. When I use auto enhance, I used to use it all the time, yet now I often dont like what it does to the image, that my eye has become more discerning. Messing with the histogram, slightly under different levels gives you more control, nice work. Diana

It's funny, I didn't notice how in the first photo (until it was cropped) that there is a man fishing. Cropping it really focused the photo and brought out more detail.

I love the second cropped shot. It is a completly different shot from the uncropped. It looks muchmore artistic. I lov ehow the tree just pokes into the shot on the thirds. Great shot!

I also had a hard time seeing the fisherman until I looked at your cropped version. Isn't the crop tool wonderful; any time I crop a photo at work it seems to amaze my co-workers, like I'm a wizard or something. Funny...

Cropping really helped in showing the fly fisherman in the picture that was not very noticable before! Nice job on that - I noticed that you used enhancement on other pictures below (that made the color pop) did you try that on your new cropped river images also - curious as to how the fly fisherman would come out if you did.

Great job using what you learned about composition to crop these images!
