I thought this bark looked pretty cool... 

To gain the effect of the text, I decreased the opacity.

This one went a little better... I cropped the photo, "fixed" the lighting on the guitar, made the body of the guitar red, and made all of her hair pink instead of just the top. The guitar got a little messed up... but still learning :-)

Haha, okay... I really had no idea what I was doing with this - I kept thinking I had the hang of it, but then it didn't do what I wanted to do... in one of those "ahh-it's-not-working" moments, I started moving my mouse all across the photo...
