I also really like the first photo. Some of my favorite shoots are when the subject is not looking, and the faces are unseen. I love to catch people in the moment, since it helps put reference and relevance to the photograph. Nice job!
I actually like the second photo. I think his expression makes it much more interesting, but in a cute way.
